Witchy Creepy

I'm in my own private heaven right now because the Creepy Kawaii Fair and The Witching Hour are going on right now.  Since I love all things creepy and witchy, what more could I ask for?




One of my favorite things is to take something normal, and adding just a little bit of creepy to it. Like this little deer. They're cute, but a deer walking around carrying a skull is even better. And these boots - they even have my name on them.  :-O  :-o  :-)



And earmuffs are great, but little vampire bunny earmuffs are even better.

Just a Couple LOTDs

Just a couple LOTDs.  First up, I really enjoyed this month's Collabor88.  There are so many really beautiful things to buy, so be careful.  It's almost as bad as going to Disney - as in, giant vacuum sucking sound straight out of your wallet.  Taking a step away from my usual black, I tried to expand my clothing color wardrobe.  Red is good.  I like red.  My favorite wearables are:

Next up are some items from Fashion Fair 2015.  I have to say, freaking love these boots.  I think I'll probably be wearing them all the time from now on.  They come with a color change hud and can go from pink, to black, to animal print.  I've been dying or some flat soled over the knee mesh boots for awhile.  These are perfectly casual.  And, this cat face dress makes me so happy.  I love cats.  I can't have a cat in RL right now because of my dogs, but my SL cat, Malthus, loves this dress, too.  If you don't like cats, there are other style options via hud for the dress, but I'll judge you for not wearing the cat face.

Yearbook

When I was in high school, I avoided cameras so much that the only picture of me in the yearbook my senior year was from the half time at a football game.  I twirled a rifle in the band.  In the photo, I was lying on the grass while a sousaphone player stepped over me.  It was an action shot.  I think I'm the only one who knows that was me lying on the grass. 

Cameras are easier to deal with when you're an avatar.  Sometimes.  That SL smile, though *shakes head*.  I think it makes for a perfect awkward yearbook photo.  So, here is my contribution to Strawberry Singh's yearbook challenge.



My trick for the second life smile is to take two pictures. One without the smile, and one with the smile. Then I layer the smile on top in Gimp. I erase the smiling squinty eyes so that the non-smiling normal eyes show through. It makes for a bit of a less awkward smile.   I used the anypose HUD (like Berry).  It's a very handy thing to have.

Another trick is to catch a picture of that halfway point between smiling and not smiling. I did that in this photo on the left, but I felt like the bigger smile was a bit more yearbook-like.

My memories of high school were not good.  I do sometimes miss tossing that rifle up in the air, though.
