Arcade and Accessories

I was gacha lucky at The Arcade and received the rare everything gacha from MonCheri on the 1st try!  It's so rare that I get lucky!



My red boots are from lassitude and ennui.  They're available at L'Accessoires.  I traded gacha goodies with the always lovely Sanura Snowpaw for the Haute Monde "Unfortunate Souls" necklace.  If you went to the The Arcade and didn't get what you wanted, there are a number of gacha trade sites popping up.  Check out this plurk.

The Write Word

It's been awhile.  I don't blog much anymore, not because I don't want to, but because I haven't been able to find the time.  So, the few little morsels of wonderful that I've picked up over the past few weeks, I think, are worth a share.  I've been feeling kind of lost in SL lately, and if it wasn't for Plurk, I would have NO idea what's going on.  The things people are making with mesh are so amazing, I can only envy their talent and wish I had the time to learn.


If you haven't heard, Alice Project is celebrating the 1 year anniversary of mesh with a 50% off sale on all mesh hair.  If you've missed buying anything over the last year, go now, because it's a fantastic deal.

Sn@tch has a little votive candle hunt in the shop where you can grab a set of really cute cropped t-shirts.  I'm enjoying Ivey's gothic makeup set on her new releases wall, too.  The makeup is gorgeous.

Over the weekend, I picked up these mesh skinny jeans for only 60L from PurpleMoon Creations   I'm not sure whether they are still 60L, but whenever you can find mesh skinny jeans that don't make you look like an IPR, I'm a fan.

Finally, these cute shoes are a new release from Lassitude and Ennui.  They're mesh, they come with a HUD for changing skin color and toe nail color, and they're gorgeous.




I'm still loving Mayfly mesh eyes, and everything Scrub releases, like this skelly belt, and can you believe this skin is only 1L from Mother Goose?  Just look at those hip bones! ♥

Whatever

Sometimes, when it's inventory cleaning time, I'm reminded of some of my old favorites.  I have a lot of things in my inventory that I just can't delete.  It could have sentimental value, or remind me of a friend, or mirror a RL favorite look.  Perhaps it reflects a wish or a dream.  For whatever reason it doesn't really matter.  Some items are staying in my inventory forever.

So, here I am, mixing the old and the new, because I love the new Rotten Toe skin, and I love the old punky outfit I'm schlumping around in today, and I haven't taken these shoes off since last Friday's 50L Friday round.

Vintage Fair

I finally made it to Vintage Fair and it was wonderful.  I'm going to be a pauper by the time it's over.

So far, my favorite thing is the Veronica hair from Wasabi Pills.  It's stunning.

Bad Girl Gone Good

Even the worst people aren't bad all the time.  That would be impossible.  And even in the worst areas, with the highest crime, the overwhelming majority of the people there are good, hard working people who want nothing more than to live out their lives in a safe and meaningful way.   

We are at our best when we are working to make the world better, to fight injustice and vice, and to help others less fortunate. You don't have to be a superhero to do that.  All you have to do is to contribute your little part to make the world a better place.  That's all it takes.

If everyone did their small part to not contribute to the evils of the world, think of how much better things would be.  I have no fantasy that I'm going to cure cancer or accomplish any great feat for mankind, but I can do my part.
