Technology

Have you noticed the way the whole world seems to be staring at a screen? What is in that screen that we can't find out in the world? Does it make us feel connected in a disconnected world? Relevant in a sea of irrelevance? Comforted in anomie? Focused while surrounded by distraction? Neil Postman says we're just "Amusing Ourselves to Death."  I kinda like Postman.

Whatever

Sometimes, when it's inventory cleaning time, I'm reminded of some of my old favorites.  I have a lot of things in my inventory that I just can't delete.  It could have sentimental value, or remind me of a friend, or mirror a RL favorite look.  Perhaps it reflects a wish or a dream.  For whatever reason it doesn't really matter.  Some items are staying in my inventory forever.

So, here I am, mixing the old and the new, because I love the new Rotten Toe skin, and I love the old punky outfit I'm schlumping around in today, and I haven't taken these shoes off since last Friday's 50L Friday round.
